The lines S1 or S8 provide direct transfer (50 minutes) to the airport. From the main train station (Hauptbahnhof München): The underground station “Fraunhoferstraße” (line U1 and U2) can be reached by foot in less than 10 minutes. In 3 minutes, it takes you directly to the central station (“Hauptbahnhof”). It's a five-minute walk to the nearest tram station (“Mariahilfplatz”, line 18).
