Football is truly an emotional subject in Munich, and there is plenty here to experience. From the passionate football fans cheering their teams on, to world-famous arenas where football history has been made and continues to be made – the outstanding Allianz Arena in the north of the city; Grünwalder Stadion in Giesing, home to TSV 1860 Munich; and of course the Olympiastadion (Olympic stadium) in Olympiapark (Olympic Park). A guided tour of the Allianz Arena or a visit to the FC Bayern museum is fascinating – and not just for Bayern fans.
