The Virtual Travel Fair Asia brought together 60 exhibitors from Bavaria, Tyrol and Salzburg with Asian travel professionals.
In collaboration with AVIAREPS, the Jewels of Romantic Europe hosted a virtual event to connect the Asian travel industry with the unique destinations in Bavaria, Tyrol and Salzburg. The event took place on March 18 and 19 and welcomed hundreds of travel professionals from twelve Asian countries, including China, Japan, India, Indonesia and the Philippines.
“By nature, the tourism industry is a global one, but since the pandemic hit the world more than a year ago, we have had to rethink the way we connect with our business partners in other markets. A virtual event from AVIAREPS was the perfect solution for us to strengthen our relationships in the Asian market and provide the inspiration and product planning support our partners need. We are thrilled with the organization and the results.”
Virtual events from AVIAREPS offer a true-to-life user experience - the next best thing to a physical event. With customizable avatars, attendees can explore the virtual exhibit hall or attend presentations in the auditorium just as they would in real life. Fully branded exhibitor booths allow guests and exhibitors to have face-to-face conversations, chat with each other, exchange business cards, download materials, and more.
During the two-day virtual event, 288 exclusive buyers from the Asian market had the opportunity to meet with the event's 60 exhibitors such as Munich Airport, the City of Munich, Zugspitze: Top of Germany, Tirol Tourist Board, Swarovski Crystal Worlds, Lufthansa German Airlines, Studiosus Incoming, Hohenschwangau Castle and Museum and Hotel Bayerischer Hof Munich, as well as other destinations, hotels, attractions and more. In addition to the pre-arranged appointments, 4,648 chat conversations were held and 5,412 business cards were exchanged.
“We are honored to help our partners like The Jewels of Romantic Europe navigate these unprecedented times. By staying connected through virtual events like this, the tourism industry will be steps ahead on the path to global recovery.”
