On 17 January 2020, Munich’s Finest conference trade fair took place at the Holiday Inn Munich - City Centre. After an intense make over, the venue presented itself with a new splendour to the qualified trade experts.
Munich’s Finest conference trade fair, which is being held at the Holiday Inn Munich - City Centre on 17 January 2020, provides qualified trade experts the opportunity to find out about the latest conference trends. In their speeches, renowned guest speakers shed light on how they imagine the digital, innovative future of conferences will look like and top-class exhibitors from the Munich convention and conference scene will individually interact with the visitors. Up to 350 guests are expected at the event.
Steffen C. Schmid, General Manager of the Holiday Inn Munich – City Centre, is looking forward to the unique opportunity to showcase the newly styled venue at this event: “We are proud that we can present the results of our intensive hotel makeover. The conference rooms offer even greater innovation and a stay in one of our rooms is now even more enjoyable.”
After the extensive, all-round renovation in which EUR 13.5 million were invested, the Holiday Inn Munich - City Centre now has a fresh, contemporary design. The hotel for business and leisure guests, with 582 rooms and 2,000 square metres of conference facilities, is one of the largest hotels in Munich. Travellers value the proximity to the city centre and the optimal accessibility. Situated opposite is the Gasteig culture centre, the River Isar, the Deutsche Museum (German Museum) and it is a nice walk to the historic city centre past many attractions, shops and restaurants.
After seeing the plain exterior of the modern, high-rise architecture, the first 'wow' effect occurs on entering the hotel. Guests experience an open and innovative spatial concept which caters for every guest’s requirements: a business centre, gaming corner and chill-out lounge have effortlessly been integrated into one room. The open lobby concept “ISAR” combines the bar and lounge, chill-out zone and workspace collectively. Urban flair and clear lines also characterise the design of the rooms, which also include handicapped accessible rooms.
In the conference area, warm red hues promote a creative working environment. The 18 conference and meeting rooms offer natural light and are equipped with the latest communication and presentation technology. Up to 2,000 people can be accommodated in total. The largest room can hold 550 guests. The functionality of the new facilities has already been successfully demonstrated at major events like IT and pharmaceutical exhibitions and medical congresses, which the Holiday Inn Munich - City Centre has already played host to for many years.
What’s more, particularly hardworking business guests stay on the roof of the hotel, namely in the hundreds of thousands. Several bee colonies have moved into the penthouse flats at the Holiday Inn Munich - City Centre and supply the tasty honey for the hotel’s breakfast buffet. A professional beekeeper, who looks after several locations of bees in Munich, monitors their well-being.
