For the first time, IBTM World took place digitally. From December 8th to 10th 2020 experts from the MICE industry met virtually to discuss new developments and trends. The Munich Convention Bureau was there again in 2020.
The 33rd edition of IBTM World will this time be a virtual event for MICE experts from around the world. The leading trade fair of the MICE industry invites experts from around the globe to spend three days exchanging views on current developments in the event and meeting industry, networking and discussing new trends in panels and forums.
The Munich Convention Bureau will once again be taking part in this year's IBTM World, presenting news and current case studies from the meeting metropolis of Munich.
Digital and hybrid meetings or live events with suitable hygiene concepts – all this is possible in Munich and has been successfully implemented in recent months, for example with congresses such as the Tech Days, the SMX conference, the EXPO REAL Hybrid Summit and the Digital Future Congress as well as with events such as the ProfTreff meeting, a virtual beer tasting, and a medical congress.
These and other cases from the last few months will be presented by the MICE experts of the Munich Convention Bureau at their virtual stand at IBTM World.
They will also provide information about new openings in Munich: Motorworld Munich, the most versatile event space in Munich, opened in November 2020. Another exciting new opening is the luxury hotel The Langham Nymphenburg Residence in a top location directly overlooking the Nymphenburg Palace Park.
As always, there will also be insights into the unique cultural and leisure activities in Munich, which makes the city a popular MICE metropolis. Because the Bavarian capital is simply a good place to live and work.
Munich is looking forward to exciting highlights in 2021, about which the Munich Convention Bureau will also provide information at IBTM World, above all about the Internationale Automobilausstellung IAA (International Motor Show) and the European Football Championship.
The IAA (International Motor Show) will be held 7 – 12 September on the grounds of the Messe München. The German Association of the Automotive Industry and Messe München have developed a novel event concept with highlights, discussions and exhibits that will attract Munich residents and guests from all over the world.
Munich will also be the host city to four UEFA EURO 2021 games next year and is looking forward to welcoming numerous international guests to the Bavarian capital.
