The neo-gothic Munich Town Hall offers much more than the world-famous Glockenspiel. This tour will take you through its grand rooms and to the building’s balcony, the stage for FC Bayern's championship celebrations (not accessible in December). The route will also take you through the reading room at the Law Library, which has been used as a setting for films such as the musical “Cabaret” with Liza Minelli and the German kid's adventure movie “Bibi Blocksberg”. Recently, it has also become world-famous through social media platforms. The Law Library is not normally open to the public (except for law students), but with our guided tour you have the unique opportunity to explore it with your own eyes.
During the tour, you will learn about the history of the Town Hall and the stories behind some of the city’s historical figures who adorn the Neue Rathaus' façade. Here's a report from our author we sent to a city hall tour – she felt a bit like being in a Harry Potter movie and was pretty excited.

Old Town Hall & Law Library: Please note that a visit to the Old Town Hall and the Law Library cannot be guaranteed due to other events.
You will receive the free City Map and the 50% discount on the official City Guide "simply Munich" upon presentation of your booking confirmation at the Tourist Information at Marienplatz (please note the current opening hours). There you can also buy tickets.
