Motorworld München is a hub for driving culture enthusiasts and lifestyle lovers. The historic hall of the former Deutsche Bahn repair workshop showcases 30 of the most exclusive vehicle brands. Shops, workshops, events, a variety of catering options and the four-star Ameron Hotel Munich add to the attraction of the auto experience world.
At the Motorworld, luxury vehicles are not just on display – they’re also for sale. Featured brands include BMW, McLaren, Bugatti, Morgan, Maserati, and Triumph motorcycles, among others. And there are numerous workshops specialising in vehicle care, tuning and maintenance, and also lifestyle and merchandise shops. Owners display their particularly stunning and valuable vintage vehicles and sports cars in 111 glass boxes across the levels of the hall. Visitors can enjoy a free stroll through the Motorworld every day of the year.
At 185 metres long, 90 metres wide and up to 18 metres high, the historic locomotive hall – over 100 years old and the opening venue of Motorworld Munich since 2021 – is one of Europe’s largest self-supporting historic steel-structure halls. Locomotives were repaired here until the late 20th century. The hall was carefully renovated in such a way that the charm of its industrial architecture was preserved.
Those interested in learning more about the history of the repair workshop and the unique spirit of this automotive experience world, can join a guided group tour.
Visitors can choose from a variety of dining options to satisfy their appetites: BACiO della Mamma, Waca Restaurant, Schnitzer's Imbiss, Caffé Pol Venezia and Café Höflinger. The interior of the Motorworld Inn is charmingly decorated in vintage style and serves classic dishes inspired by the automotive nations of Italy, the USA and Germany. The Highline gourmet workshop and the Zeppelin Lounge, which offers guests a bird's eye view of the Motorworld, are special event locations that can be hired exclusively, as can over 20 other conference and event rooms.
Visitors can also stay overnight at Motorworld. The Ameron München Motorworld boasts unique features, such as Car & Bike Suites, allowing guests to spend the night beside their cherished car or motorbike, separated only by a glass wall.
Gaming enthusiasts can look forward to an array of racing and flight simulators at the Motorworld. In addition, the venue hosts numerous other events throughout the year, including open meetups for bikers, vintage vehicle fans and sports or supercar drivers, or car-free events, such as the Winter Market, “DogWorld” – a festival for dog lovers highlighted by the popular ‘Dachshund Race’ – and immersive exhibitions like the one dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci.
For many years, the internationally renowned event venues Zenith, Kesselhaus and Kohlebunker – all part of the industrial-historical ensemble at Motorworld München – have been highly popular in the concert, event, and trade fair scene.
