2024 will be a summer of superlatives in Munich. In addition to the only Adele concerts in Europe, the fan festival for the European Football Championships and other world stars like Taylor Swift in the Olympic Stadium, we are also looking forward to open-air events and small concerts in Munich's venues.
Music fans are in good hands in Munich in summer 2024. The big highlight is certainly Adele's concert series at the trade fair in Riem with a total of 10 performance evenings between 2 and 31 August.
But it's not just the exhibition centre that has something going on. The Olympiapark is also preparing for a great summer with lots of concerts. For example, Coldplay is coming for two concerts into the Olympic Stadium.
Ed Sheeran, Nelly Furtado, Mark Forster, Dylan and Tim Bendzko were performing at the European Football Championship Fan Festival on 12 June at the Theresienwiese. World star Taylor Swift was also in the Olympic Stadium for two concerts.
Many beer gardens in Munich are planning special events around the superstars' concerts in Munich. A great opportunity for fans to meet like-minded people during longer stays in Munich.
Michael Achatz's brass band has specially rehearsed songs by Adele, Taylor Swift and Coldplay and will be performing them between the traditional songs. The band will be playing in the beer garden at the Chinese Tower from Friday to Sunday, weather permitting. Here, in the Taxisgarten and in the Michaeligarten, there will also be a special treat and a special cocktail for the concert summer.
The beer garden in the Hirschau and the Hofbräukeller are also planning a special cocktail and more, while music videos by the artists will be shown in the summer bar (Hofbräukeller) and Adele songs are played by the live band (Hirschau). Many hosts are also adapting their menus: In addition to the places mentioned, the Löwenbräukeller, the Augustiner Keller and the Paulaner am Nockherberg are also offering special fan dishes or menus at a special price.

The Teatron MusikSommer will also be back with many great artists and up-and-coming talents on the stage at the Olympic Lake. From 8 to 25 August, the festival will make every music fan's heart beat faster.And admission is free!
The free&easy 2024 at the Backstage culture and event center is also particularly diverse and free of charge. From July 18 to August 4, concerts, parties, cabaret, politics and much more will take place on three indoor stages, an outdoor stage and the open spaces of the Backstage for 18 days.
Other popular music venues where concerts take place in a smaller and more intimate setting throughout the summer include the Muffatwerk with the Ampere, the cultural interim use of the Gasteig, the “Fat Cat“, and in particular the concerts as part of the Stadion der Träume festival, and the Backstage at Friedenheimer Brücke.
The many music events in the summer concert season certainly contribute to the Munich summer feeling that the Spider Murphy Gang so aptly sang about in the 1980s. But there are also many other events in the summer months of June, July and August that allow us to enjoy the summer in Munich to the full.
