Music fans can look forward to numerous concerts in 2025! Global stars such as Patti Smith and Robbie Williams, Lenny Kravitz and the cult band Guns N' Roses are coming to the city. We are also looking forward to numerous open airs and small concerts in Munich's venues.
Music fans are well catered for all year round. Highlights include the concert by hard rock band Guns N' Roses in the Allianz Arena and the performance by Robbie Williams in the Olympiastadion (Olympic Stadium). From October, the stadium is expected to be closed for two years due to renovation work, which is why the city's major concerts will be moved to the Allianz Arena from then on.
The Tollwood summer festival will also have a lot to offer musically: rock legends Patti Smith and Iggy Pop will play guitar together and Irish singer Ronan Keating will also enter the music arena at the festival. Incidentally, this year's motto is ‘Mut und Machen’ (Courage and action) - an appeal to commit to a future worth living in these uncertain times.
A whole host of top acts are coming to the Olympiastadion, the Olympiahalle and recently even the Allianz Arena this year. Tickets for the concerts are available on the website of the Olympic Park or the Tollwood Summer Festival.

The free&easy 2025 at the Backstage culture and event center is also particularly diverse and free of charge. Concerts, parties, cabaret, politics and much more will take place on three indoor stages, an outdoor stage and the open spaces of the Backstage for 18 days. More details coming soon.
Other popular music venues where concerts take place in a smaller and more intimate setting throughout the summer include the Muffatwerk with the Ampere and the cultural interim use of the Gasteig, the “Fat Cat“.
The many music events in the summer concert season certainly contribute to the Munich summer feeling that the Spider Murphy Gang so aptly sang about in the 1980s. But there are also many other events in the summer months of June, July and August that allow us to enjoy the summer in Munich to the full.
