Follow the tracks of the Bavarian kings with an official City of Munich guide.
On January 1, 1806 Bavaria became a kingdom and the popular Max I Joseph was crowned its first king. He was succeeded by Ludwig I, Maximilian II, Ludwig II (the Fairytale King) and – subsequent to the period of prince regents – by Ludwig III. With the latter, the monarchy in Bavaria ended in 1918.
Depending on the tour you will follow their tracks through Munich along the great splendid boulevards, such as Ludwigstrasse, Brienner Strasse, Maximilianstrasse and across famous squares, such as Max-Joseph-Platz, Promenadeplatz and Marienplatz.
