From May to September, a wide variety of street festivals fill the lively, beautiful and often tucked-away streets of Munich. These events feature live music, children's programmes and tempting culinary delights. One thing unites them all: the joy of celebrating together. Latest update.
Every year in May, the Glockenbachwerkstatt and the neighbouring Café Bellevue invite you to a street party. Everyone who enjoys live music, good food and a colourful children's programme is welcome. The buntkicktgut football club is organising a tournament on the roof of Bellevue and there will also be plenty of activities for children on the football pitch at the ‘Glocke’.

Yard flea markets are not only very popular in Munich, they also herald the arrival of spring every year. Untergiesing is a particularly popular neighbourhood - so a small street festival is being held this Saturday to coincide with the flea market. This is organised by Munich Foodlover, whose food trucks will provide you with plenty of food and drinks. There will also be live music!

Two street festivals that originally emerged independently from each other, each focused not only on celebration, but also on idealism. The Zamanand Festival began as a “car-free day” initiated by the City of Munich and was co-organised by the Department for Climate and Environmental Protection. Following the successful continuation as the Streetlife Festival from 2003 under the patronage of Munich's environmental organization Green City, the event has become a popular fixture in Munich's festival calendar. The Corso Leopold Festival is primarily characterised by art and culture, with a prominent art event by Schwabing artists as the centrepiece. Stages are strategically set up at key intersections, complemented by stalls and tents offering music, theatre performances and readings – and of course, there are delicious food stalls. Together, the two festivals offer a colourful programme spanning a length of approximately 2.3 kilometres.

You can also buy T-shirts and buttons on the website. On 21 June, visitors can expect a colourful mix of information stands, music and good food.

Of course, food and drink are also provided around the playground at Glockenbach. The 25 or so attractions and drinks on site are free for children.

The music and culture festival has thrilled thousands of people in recent years.
