The Lange Nacht der Musik (Long Night of Music) now has a long tradition in Munich. On 10 May 2025, over 4000 live concerts will once again be on the programme throughout Munich. In addition to the well-known music stages, clubs and bars, unusual venues will also be opening their doors this year for very special musical experiences.
In addition to countless music and dance performances, the annual Long Night of Music between 8 pm and 2 am also offers a cabaret evening or interesting guided tours, for example. The tried-and-tested shuttle bus system is available to ensure that all venues can be reached easily and in an environmentally friendly way.
Around 95 venues are taking part in the Long Night of Music with a live music programme ranging from classical, jazz, rock and pop to funk, folk and world music. Visitors can get active themselves at dance classes. In addition to the city's dance schools, other original venues such as churches, bookshops, sports facilities and renowned cultural institutions such as the Gasteig will also be hosting their own programmes.
The combined ticket for the Long Night of Music at a price of 20 euros (plus advance booking fee) includes admission to all concerts as well as travel to the venues throughout the city. Four routes will be set up to reach all venues. The buses run every 10 minutes and start centrally at Odeonsplatz in Munich's historic city centre.
You can see and hear almost every conceivable style of music, dance classes or performances by solo artists, bands, ensembles, DJs and even the audience itself here and there. A programme booklet provides information about all the venues and programmes along the routes.
The first Long Night of Music took place in Munich in 1999. It was the model for music nights in many other German cities. Every year, thousands of visitors flock to Munich to enjoy the unique music programme until late into the night.
