The new 100-second advert created by the University of Television and Film is loud and very funny. And it proves Munich is simply cool.
During a meeting at the club of the coolest cities on the planet, Munich enters the scene … After some initial resentment, the illustrious gang of cities succumb to the relaxed charm of the Isar metropolis.
This advert is the second joint project to be carried out by München Tourismus and the University of Television and Film in Munich. In winter 2017/18, München Tourismus held a competition alongside the Chair of Commercial Film to find story ideas for the development of another advert and promote Munich as a travel destination. The students were given maximum creative freedom once again.

The jury, chaired by München Tourismus and the Tourismusinitiative München (TIM) e.V., voted for the script written by Fabian Carl and Danilo Pejakovic, who also directed the “Club of Cool Cities” advert. The production was financed through the tourism fund. The advert was produced by Danilo Pejakovic and Lukas Schwarz-Danner from Sova-Pictures. The camerawork was led by Thomas Spitschka, while Prof. Henning Patzner and his team supervised the story development and production.
